Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Perform advanced MRI procedures under the guidance of a qualified physician, contributing to accurate diagnostic imaging critical for patient care. This role requires precision and a minimum of two years of MRI technologist experience to ensure top-quality imaging outcomes. The position is a 13-week contract requiring availability Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with every third weekend including Saturday and Sunday shifts. There is no on-call responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and conduct MRI procedures following department standards with exceptional accuracy.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and review requisitions thoroughly.
- Handle preparation of contrast media with complete accuracy.
- Process images within 30 minutes after exams.
- Interpret physician orders for imaging procedures maintaining high precision.
- Maintain detailed patient logs and equipment downtime records.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists to optimize imaging protocols.
- Assume charge technologist duties when assigned, including reporting and activity coordination.
- Respond promptly to stat and emergency study requests.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory and notify supervisors for supply replacement needs.
- Ensure proper billing of patient exams.
- Safely transport patients as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment and report issues.
- Assist with duties in coverage situations and cross-train when applicable.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
- Strong knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and troubleshooting capabilities.
