POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Financial Analyst under Kingston’s FP&A group, you will be a key player in driving financial strategies and data-driven decision-making. You will work at the center of cross-functional teams, analyzing complex financial and memory supply chain data, uncovering trends, and providing actionable insights that directly support Kingston’s strategic goals.

This role offers broad exposure to the full scope of Kingston’s operations from forecasting incoming wafer and memory chip costs on the supply side to supporting sales forecasts for demand planning. Your work will directly impact revenue optimization, cost forecasting, P&L performance, and strategic supply chain planning related to wafer and chip allocation and sufficiency. $76K-$90K

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategic Financial Analysis
    • Partners closely with the DRAM and Flash Business Units to present monthly financial results, analyze corporate strategies and product roadmaps, and assess customer and market trends.
    • Utilizes data-driven analysis to evaluate chip inventory sufficiency and identifies business opportunities.
    • Provides critical financial information at the product/chip level, defining key performance indicators to drive profitability and/or market share.
  • Performance Monitoring & Dashboarding
    • Collaborates with Business, Engineering, Finance, and Operations leadership to monitor business unit and product portfolio performance.
    • Defines and reports key performance indicators using visualization tools such as Power BI, ensuring timely, transparent reporting to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Provides problem-solving skills, implements innovative ideas, and drives cross-functional accountability on topics related to memory chip cost management, product pricing, and memory gigabit/gigabyte consumption.
  • Sales & Profitability Tracking
    • Tracks month-to-date (MTD) and year-to-date (YTD) sales performance versus financial forecasts.
    • Supports executive and senior leadership reviews with detailed profitability, customer, and cost analyses.
  • Process Automation & Reporting Optimization
    • Acts as a liaison between IT and functional teams to automate and streamline recurring reporting tasks.
    • Improves data accuracy and reduces manual efforts by leveraging tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and Python.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis
    • Conducts in-depth financial analysis across the memory semiconductor value chain.
    • Evaluates memory chip suppliers, module house competitors, and downstream customers to provide executive-level insights and uncover strategic growth opportunities.

GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS):

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp attention to detail and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong adaptability and a proactive approach to addressing new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or Power Automate is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles; prior experience in financial planning, analytics, or strategic finance roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and/or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related role.
