Position Overview

A large, multi-hospital healthcare system in Florida is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) to join its Respiratory Care team. This role provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced acute care environment, including trauma and stroke services.

Shifts Available

• Day Shift – Rotating weekends

• Night Shift – Rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform all respiratory care–related duties under general supervision

• Set up and administer routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures

• Manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

• Monitor patient response and adjust therapies as clinically indicated

• Accurately document treatments and patient status in the electronic medical record

• Maintain departmental and hospital records

• Work independently when a team leader is not present

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent (current or within the last year) acute care respiratory therapy experience

• CRT experience will be considered

• Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility for state licensure

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program

• Current BLS certification
