Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced and dedicated School Psychologists for full-time opportunities with a school district in the Willimantic, CT area. We are seeking compassionate and skilled professionals who are committed to supporting student success across academic, emotional, and behavioral domains. Details:
- Location: Willimantic, CT
- Full Time: 35 hours per week
- Caseload: K-21 caseload, conducting detailed evaluations. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit based on experience.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all state and local school district requirements, including:
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Connecticut Department of Education (CSDE) School Psychologist Certification (Endorsement #070)
- Completion of a state-approved School Psychology program
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Successful background check and fingerprint clearance
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Interpret assessment data and offer recommendations for instructional strategies and interventions
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and mental health
- Monitor student progress and participate in eligibility and reevaluation meetings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
