We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler – Shipping & Receiving to join our clients warehouse team in Ayer, MA.
Starting Rate: $20.00-$22.00/Hr.
Schedule: 12:00pm-8:30pm Monday – Friday (OT available)
Job Summary: The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, accuracy, and productivity. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing products for shipment using material handling equipment and our warehouse management system.
Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
-
Verify trailer condition and accuracy of paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments
-
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices when handling products
-
Ensure proper handling of diet products and partial pallets
-
Replenish inventory and relocate materials as needed
-
Maintain accurate documentation for returns and received goods
-
Perform forklift safety checks and battery maintenance
-
Keep shipping/receiving areas clean and organized
-
Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Assist team members and provide break coverage as necessary
-
Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisors or leads
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Forklift experience required
-
Prior warehouse or material handling experience preferred
-
Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
-
Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
-
Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude
-
Ability to meet production and service standards
-
Effective communication skills (English required)
-
Must be able to work 8+ hour shifts and frequent overtime
-
Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and lift throughout the shift
-
Moderate to loud noise levels; wet floors may be present
