Overview
Anderson Rehabilitation Hospital in Illinois is seeking an experienced Acute Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, supporting their rehabilitation and transition toward independence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Acute Rehabilitation unit
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor progress, and document care accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Support patients in achieving functional independence through therapeutic interventions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (or compact license eligible)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute rehab or medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records systems; Meditech experience preferred
- Required Education: Associates of Nursing
Assignment Details
- Contract 13 weeks, with potential for extension
- Full-time schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
- Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
