Overview

Anderson Rehabilitation Hospital in Illinois is seeking an experienced Acute Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, supporting their rehabilitation and transition toward independence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in the Acute Rehabilitation unit
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor progress, and document care accurately
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Support patients in achieving functional independence through therapeutic interventions
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (or compact license eligible)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent acute rehab or medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems; Meditech experience preferred
  • Required Education: Associates of Nursing

Assignment Details

  • Contract 13 weeks, with potential for extension
  • Full-time schedule
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
  • Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
