Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for a patient group across age ranges during the assigned shift, following the nursing process and medical plan of care.
- Triage, assess, treat, and coordinate care for trauma and emergency patients in an acute care ED setting.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to develop and adjust the plan of care; monitor patient response and progress.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient status, including vital signs and clinical indicators.
- Deliver patient and family education, begin discharge planning, and document care accurately; delegate appropriate tasks to other licensed staff per scope of practice.
- Ensure safe, patient-centered care and maintain certification compliance and accurate charting for all ages as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Education: Nursing degree (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with eligibility to practice in California
- Experience: ER/acute care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and manage care for patients across a broad age range
- Willingness to participate in an 8-week travel assignment starting 08/10/2026
