Preferrable past Healthcare experience Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the phone and takes detailed messages as needed. Schedules incoming and outgoing referrals and schedule appointments for test and lab work for patients as needed. Keep appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of a patients arrival, and reminding providers of service delays. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information. Knowledge of medical insurance, verifying insurance benefits and financial records. Assist patients in filing out insurance forms and other patient records. Collecting patient charges. Answering the phones and emails. keeping the reception area clean. Knowledge of EMR software, patient portals and other technology to manage scheduling and interact with patients. Protecting patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Previous Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
