Job DescriptionSalary:

Position Summary:

Designer/drafter is responsible for design and development of plans for the construction or modification of commercial, residential, agricultural, or industrial buildings. In addition, the drafter/designer is responsible for designing, planning, and drafting specifications for alterations and repair of existing structures or new building construction projects.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Ability to efficiently produce architectural and structural plans with details

  • Obtain state approvals

  • Obtain necessary permits

  • Obtain and review approval drawings,

  • Assist Project Manager with onsite questions

  • Attend job handoff with project manager and salesperson

  • Attend approval meetings

  • Ability to field measure a project



Qualifications/Requirements:


For consideration, the preferred candidate needs:


  • Minimum 2 Year Associate Degree in construction related field, and/or 5 years of similar experience with general knowledge of commercial construction

  • Minimum 3 years experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of current codes including IBC 2015, Energy Codes, and Wisconsin UDC.

  • Ability to converse in verbal and written communications

  • Ability to manage workloads that require deadlines
