Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment at the Plant and Port Warehouse, maintaining production and quality. This role involves on-shift equipment and facility maintenance, repair, and on-the-spot troubleshooting support. As part of the Maintenance Team, the mechanic will work to improve equipment efficiency and throughput by supporting improvement projects and performing preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a maintenance technician with skills in mechanical, troubleshooting, electrical, and maintenance repair.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Experience in food production maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience repairing industrial equipment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization.
- Desire to problem-solve and continually improve products and services.
- Willingness to work long days with flexibility in work hours and location.

Work Environment
The employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is expected in all situations.

This is a Contract position based out of Boardman, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
