The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing effective support for the Inside Sales Representatives. Using the knowledge of the company’s products and services, the CSR should provide information in response to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints. This position is located at our corporate office in Overland Park, KS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives incoming calls from established and prospective customers for a variety of purposes.
- Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
- Serves as a consultant to the customer regarding industry issues (trends, government regulations, new products, etc.)
- Contacts vendors and manufacturers to fulfill customers' requirements on non-stock items.
- Completes all necessary paperwork to ensure proper flow through other departments (debit memos, accounting inquiries, marketing feedback, etc.
- Inputs orders into on-line order system as received.
- Answers all customer communication.
- Resolves any customer conflicts within 48 hours of initial customer contact.
- Keeps organized and accurate records.
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Attends product meetings as scheduled to improve product knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prefer Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Work Location: In-person, corporate office
