Job DescriptionGraduate Registered Nurse (Medical) - Full-Time, Day Shift

This role is for a full-time Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical A unit, dedicated to delivering patient care in alignment with our organization's Nursing Conceptual Framework. Responsibilities include coordinating care plans across various disciplines, educating patients, and upholding patient confidentiality and rights. Candidates must possess a valid RN license and basic life support certification. We also offer sign-on bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Utilizing the Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing processes, you will provide exceptional patient care. You will be professionally accountable for the care of your assigned patients and will collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care. It is essential to maintain patient rights and confidentiality regarding their information.

Position Highlights:

  • Graduate Nurse Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
  • Experienced Nurse Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

  • Hours: 36 hours per week, Day Shift
  • Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus, MO 63028

The Medical A unit is a dynamic 30-bed environment that caters to patients of all ages, many of whom are dealing with chronic illnesses requiring multidisciplinary treatment plans. As a member of the healthcare team, you will educate patients on various topics, including surgical expectations and post-discharge medication regimens. This role is ideal for compassionate, team-oriented individuals who are hardworking, flexible, and enjoy caring for diverse populations. Working in this unit will be a rewarding experience that enhances your clinical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: It is the candidate's responsibility to secure and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or through compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
