Job DescriptionPosition Summary
The Plant Manager directs and coordinates all activities related to production, maintenance, quality control, and workforce management within the facility. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently while meeting company goals, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and optimize processes
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff, including supervisors and department managers
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and analyze financial performance
- Coordinate with other departments such as supply chain, engineering, and HR
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Ensure product quality meets internal and external standards
- Handle equipment maintenance and capital improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or process improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
