Operations Manager Restoration & Construction

Position Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restoration and reconstruction projects ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to our high-quality standards. This role is key to maintaining efficiency, supporting our field teams, and protecting project margins while delivering a five-star client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Production Oversight
- Manage all active projects from mitigation through reconstruction, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scopes are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and field staff to maintain job efficiency and quality.
- Review job progress, change orders, supplements, and cost reports to protect project profitability.
- Track schedules, materials, equipment, and subcontractors for timely delivery.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and support project managers, estimators, and field crews.
- Ensure clarity in roles, accountability, and performance expectations.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and developing high-performing team members.
Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as the bridge between ownership, estimating, admin, and field teams.
- Hold regular production meetings to review job status, challenges, and upcoming priorities.
- Provide accurate updates to ownership on job progress, scheduling, and workload capacity.
Financial & Operational Performance:
- Monitor job costing, labor efficiency, and margin reports to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure purchase orders, change orders, and equipment tracking are accurately entered into PSA or company systems.
- Support the General Manager in maintaining company profitability through strong operational control.
Quality, Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all work meets company standards, insurance carrier requirements, and local codes.
- Oversee safety compliance, crew training, and proper use of equipment and PPE.
- Support audit readiness and proper documentation on all jobs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of management experience in restoration, construction, or insurance-based work.
- Strong understanding of mitigation and reconstruction processes, including estimating and job costing.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience using CRM Software, Xactimate, QuickBooks, or similar industry software preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
