Compensation:
- $65,000.00-$70,000.00 annually
Location:
- Hybrid at our Aurora Headquarters
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Role Overview:
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes, and collaborating across the business. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering accurate financial reporting, we'd love to meet you.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of accounting while partnering with leaders throughout the organization to help drive operational and financial excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own monthly bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
- Record, reconcile, and maintain intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
- Partner cross-functionally with departments across the organization to support business operations and financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite (preferred).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, and month-end close.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting multi-entity organizations.
- Experience implementing or improving accounting systems, workflows, or financial processes.
