Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience assisting in classroom settings or working with children or adolescents
- Understanding of special education needs and willingness to work with diverse learners
- Ability to follow teacher direction while using sound judgment in day-to-day interactions
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, students, and families
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students during instructional and non-instructional activities
- Assist with one-on-one or small group tutoring, adapting materials or assignments as needed
- Supervise students and assist with behavior management and engagement
- Support classroom teachers with daily activities and individualized education programs (IEPs) where applicable
- Foster a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
