Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Manager to join our team and lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management within the region. This role will be responsible for driving the full implementation of EHS strategies, ensuring business operations comply with corporate policies and local regulations, fostering a strong safety culture, and enhancing employee health and safety awareness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously improve regional EHS strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate and business objectives.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks across operations.
  • Incident Management: Lead and oversee incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.
  • Auditing & Inspection: Plan and conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and assessments. Track and drive closure of action items to ensure sustained compliance and safety performance.
  • Program Development & Training: Design, deliver, and maintain effective EHS programs, training, and communication initiatives for employees at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional (XFN) teams—including Operations, HR, Facilities, and Legal—to integrate EHS into business processes and promote initiatives such as wellness, ergonomics, and employee assistance programs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present detailed EHS performance reports, metrics, and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Support & Development: Mentor and support site-level EHS personnel and operational partners, fostering a culture of safety ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Business Travel: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required to support regional and global business needs.
  • Qualifications, Skills & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience in both general industry and construction safety is highly desirable.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations. Familiarity with international standards and best practices is an advantage.
    • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead, influence, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all organizational levels.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and deliver effective training.
    • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies to improve EHS performance.
    • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and EHS management systems/software.
    • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work outside standard hours when necessary.
    • Travel: Openness to regular national and international travel as required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in multinational or matrix organizational environments.
    • Demonstrated success in leading cultural change and EHS program implementation.
    • Knowledge of sustainability practices and wellness program integration.
