OverviewAs our Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative tasks essential to the smooth functioning of our daily operations. From managing phone lines and patient check-in to preparing patient charts and handling medical documentation, you will be instrumental in ensuring an efficient and organized front office. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding patient service.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and efficiently check in patients upon arrival
- Accurately collect co-payments and process payments
- Prepare and build comprehensive medical charts for upcoming surgical procedures
- Proactively request necessary medical records, labs, and other documentation from surgeons' offices
- Break down patient charts post-surgery and accurately log surgery times and staff into our system
- Assist with any necessary consent form or other document updates
- Professionally and efficiently answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Perform various general office duties, including scanning, faxing, and maintaining organized records
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent punctuality and a reliable work ethic.
- Ability to remain calm and function effectively in potentially high-stress situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and possess strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30AM - 5:00PM)
Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly
