Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support both payroll and HR functions. This role is heavily focused on payroll processing during payroll cycles, with broader HR responsibilities during off weeks. The ideal candidate understands payroll end-to-end, including compliance, deductions, and system workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit biweekly payroll
  • Review timecards for accuracy, including hours worked, overtime, PTO, bonuses, and deductions
  • Ensure payroll is processed correctly through the HRIS system
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Support 401(k) administration, including contributions and reporting
  • Assist with compliance reporting (including Form 5500 support)
  • Coordinate onboarding tasks such as offer letters and new hire documentation
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments and changes
  • Generate reports and support HR initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong payroll experience required
  • Experience with 401(k) administration and compliance
  • At least 1+ year of HR experience
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (Paylocity a plus)
  • Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits integration
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required
