Mobile Certified Radiologic Technologist

The Mobile Certified Radiologic Technologist reports to the Client Service Manager and is responsible for performing on-site and mobile X-ray imaging services for our clients at our office and their facilities, and returns collected images and equipment to our main laboratory in Ontario, Ca. The Mobile Certified Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic exams using portable X-ray equipment and other diagnostic imaging technology at our office and sites in Kern County, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and San Diego County. The Mobile Certified Radiologic Technologist role requires a combination of technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic medical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travels to various client locations to perform diagnostic tests related to the role, including X-Ray and EKG.
  • Processes X-ray images.
  • Prepares patients for procedures, explains processes, and ensures their comfort and safety.
  • Loads/unloads, sets up, and operates portable X-ray equipment, ensuring it functions correctly, and reports any malfunctions.
  • Maintains accurate patient records, documents procedures and findings for review by radiologists.
  • Adheres to laboratory protocols and quality standards, ensuring the highest level of diagnostic accuracy.
  • Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Collects and transports equipment, documents, and images from patients and facilities to laboratory for immediate processing.
  • Responsible for entering patient information data.
  • Maintains clean and healthy work environments.
  • Maintains high level of customer service at laboratory and client locations.
  • Observes patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Maintains vehicle and X-ray equipment.
  • Follows all local and state traffic laws and regulations.
  • May assist with training, coaching, and the development of coworkers and students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must take all assigned Human Resources trainings and classes.
  • Responsible for attending all department and staff meetings.

Education and Experience

  • Highschool Diploma or GED.
  • Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification as Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT), required.
  • 2 – 4 yeas of professional experience in a Radiologic Technician role (mobile experience is ideal, but not required).
  • Previous experience in mobile radiography or similar setting with knowledge of patient population served by the facility, required.

  • Proficient in the use of ultrasound imaging equipment and software.
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Record maintenance skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare and print routine correspondence, labels, and/or other basic written material.
  • Word processing and/or data entry skills.
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.

  • Lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
