This opportunity is for a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech with a strong background in cardiac catheterization and peripheral diagnostic procedures. The position is based in Brookfield, WI, and offers a contract role within a high-acuity cardiac service department. The team performs a fast-paced caseload ranging from diagnostic to complex interventional cases, providing an excellent environment for experienced IR Techs seeking a challenging and rewarding assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cardiac cath lab and peripheral procedures including diagnostics, interventions, RHC/LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, valvuloplasty, biopsies, and mechanical support device placements such as IABP and Impella.
  • Scrub and pan during procedures, ensuring sterile technique and equipment readiness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsnurses, cardiologists, and technologiststo maintain patient safety and procedural efficiency.
  • Manage equipment operation including C-arms, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and various interventional devices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations with a defined response time to provide urgent procedure support.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years IR tech experience in a cath lab setting with exposure to both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cases.
  • Registered Technologist Radiographer (RTR) with active state licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications; RCIS preferred.
  • Familiarity with complex peripheral and hybrid interventions is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with 1:1 patient ratios.

Schedule

  • Flexible shifts including 8- and 12-hour options, with occasional weekend and weekday on-call duties.
  • Total hours capped to comply with fatigue policies for safety.
