As the Occupational Therapist, you’ll oversee approximately five elementary students, supporting their development and learning goals. You will be present onsite the first Friday of each month, from 9am to 1pm, making this an ideal part-time commitment for those balancing other professional or personal pursuits.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Indiana
- Experience working with elementary-aged students within a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education documentation
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and develop appropriate therapy interventions
- Provide direct and consultative services to students as required by IEPs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student integration and progress
- Document therapy sessions and student progress in accordance with school and legal standards
- Serve as a resource for educational staff and families regarding best practices in occupational therapy
