Technologist (Overnight Shift)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Pay Rate: $22.05 per hour
Job Summary
The Technologist is responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products in a regulated production environment. This role operates production equipment, prepares and verifies raw materials, supports in-process testing, and ensures all batches meet required specifications. The Technologist plays a key role in process validation related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization, while maintaining strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products according to established procedures.
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure consistent and accurate performance.
- Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials to confirm correct ingredients and quantities for each batch.
- Create solutions, powders, and liquids to meet batch specifications.
- Assist with in-process testing to ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Validate processes and equipment associated with filtration, cleaning, and sterilization activities.
- Remove and properly dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids in accordance with safety protocols.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to scientific and production operations.
- Provide training support for onboarding team members and new procedures.
- Support the Lead or Supervisor as needed to meet operational goals.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Follow all company housekeeping and safety policies and procedures.
- Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma with technical certification in laboratory operations plus 3 years of laboratory experience; OR
- Associate degree (AS) in a scientific discipline with 2–3 years of laboratory experience; OR
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a scientific discipline with 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension), including the ability to analyze charts, follow diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
