Elevator Mechanic (Class II / III) - Residential & Light Commercial
Job Description
Job Description
About the Role
We’re a growing, family-owned company focused on accessibility and mobility solutions—helping people stay safe and independent in their homes and communities.
We’re hiring experienced Elevator Mechanics / Technicians to support installs, service, and maintenance across Georgia and Northeast Florida. This is hands-on field work with a mix of home elevators, stairlifts, and light commercial systems—not high-rise corporate elevator work.
If you like solving problems, working independently, and doing meaningful work for real people, this is a strong fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead installation of:
-
- Home elevators (ASME 17.1 / 17.7)
- Vertical platform lifts (ASME 18.1)
- Stairlifts (Bruno, Harmar)
- Accessibility equipment (ramps, patient lifts, etc.)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform preventive maintenance + service calls
- Read and interpret:
-
- Schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Blueprints
- Handle field service independently while maintaining safety standards
- Communicate clearly with homeowners, contractors, and team members
- Document work performed (service reports, parts, inspections)
What We’re Looking For
Preferred:
- Georgia Elevator Mechanic License (Class II or III)
OR
- Strong hands-on experience + ability to obtain license
Must-Have Skills
- Solid electrical + mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience with hydraulics, wiring, and control systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Strong attention to detail and safety
Bonus Experience (Big Plus)
- Residential / home elevator systems
- Stairlifts (Bruno, Harmar)
- Platform lifts / accessibility equipment
- Field service or install work (not just shop-based)
- Customer-facing experience
Work Environment
- Monday–Friday, ~8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Regional travel only (no weekends)
- Mix of residential + light commercial work
- Flexible on full-time, part-time, or contract
Pay & Benefits
- $33 – $56/hour (based on experience)
- Paid time off + holidays
- Healthcare allowance
- Flexible scheduling
- Relocation assistance available
Why This Role Stands Out
- Not corporate—family-run, tight team
- Meaningful work helping people live independently
- Variety of equipment (not the same job every day)
- Growth opportunity as we expand in the Southeast
- Flexibility in schedule and coverage area
Quick Reality Check (for candidates)
- This is hands-on field work
- You’ll be expected to troubleshoot, not just swap parts
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in different environments
- Clean driving record required
