What would you do as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

As a new Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) at Family HealthCare, your day-to-day responsibilities will be both fulfilling and varied. You will provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to expectant mothers, ensuring each patient feels supported and informed through every stage of their journey. Expect to conduct routine check-ups, administer tests, and develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Collaboration will be key, as you'll work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. You'll also educate patients about reproductive health, childbirth options, and newborn care, fostering a nurturing environment that emphasizes compassion and understanding. Preparing for and assisting in deliveries will be an essential part of your role, allowing you to witness the miracle of life firsthand.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current unencumbered North Dakota CNM/APRN license with prescriptive authority.
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse-midwifery program.
  • Current certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
  • Prior experience working in women's health, community health or with underserved and racially diverse populations preferred.
  • New midwifery graduates considered with relevant prior nursing experience.
