We’re growing and looking for a skilled Electronics Engineer/Technologist to join our team.
The Role
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer/Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing complete production packages including bills of material, manufacturing drawings, schematic diagrams, and system designs. You will also support sales, provide cost estimates, oversee equipment testing, and develop customized design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, engineering detail drawings, and production documentation using CAD tools.
- Develop and revise assembly and production drawings, BOMs, and technical manuals.
- Accurately enter new part numbers, shop operations, and maintain drawing libraries.
- Support sales with cost estimates and preliminary design layouts.
- Provide technical support to shop personnel and collaborate with purchasing and subcontractors.
- Oversee and support equipment testing, electronic controls, and system integration.
- Identify improvements in design, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency.
- Attend meetings, share updates, and mitigate risks that impact production or delivery.
- Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, lift, and reach as required.
- Advanced math skills (geometry, trigonometry).
- Effective English communication skills, oral and written.
What You Bring
- Diploma or degree in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in PLC programming and system integration.
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with rotating equipment and actuating controls.
- Strong electrical aptitude and drafting ability with knowledge of GD&T.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems (SYSPRO an asset), and complex spreadsheets.
- Ability to create accurate 3D solid models and 2D drawings.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A self-starter who thrives independently and in team environments.
