Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power, lighting, grounding, and low voltage systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and government facilities.
- Prepare electrical plans, single line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and specifications.
- Develop construction documents through schematic design, design development, and construction document phases.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards including NEC, Arizona Building Code.
- Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and responses to contractor questions.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering experience in a consulting or design environment.
- Strong working knowledge of building electrical systems and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with Revit is required. AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical calculations, power distribution systems, lighting controls, and emergency power systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
