The role focuses on providing expert care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments for urology and gynecologic cancers in an outpatient infusion center setting. This contract position offers a structured 5x8 weekday schedule with consistent daytime hours.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy therapies to urology and GYN oncology patients safely and effectively
  • Perform intravesical bladder instillations for bladder cancer as part of treatment protocols
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation using Oncology MedConnect (Cerner)
  • Monitor patient responses and manage infusion-related side effects promptly
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care plans

Qualifications

  • Current, active DC RN license is mandatory to be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in outpatient oncology infusion nursing
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Chemotherapy (ONC/ONCC) required
  • Prior experience with intravesical bladder instillations strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with oncology charting systems such as Oncology MedConnect

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts)
