We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Solder to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in soldering, specifically in installing reed switches, resistors, and conducting quality inspections. Basic familiarity with SAP ERP is preferred. The successful candidate must be a team player, capable of working in a warehouse setting, and proficient in using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Skillfully install reed switches and resistors on PCB boards following established assembly procedures and specifications. Perform various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering. Completes project by smoothing rough edges on products.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure finished products meet required standards. Identify and address any defects or discrepancies in the assembly process.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team of technicians and production staff to achieve production goals and high-quality standards.
- Consult production schedule to prepare work area and equipment. Gather components needed to meet production schedules. Set up equipment and solders components. Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform tasks related to warehouse operations, including material handling, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Utilize a multimeter and other relevant tools for testing and troubleshooting electronic components and assemblies.
- Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, quality checks, number of parts made, track failures, and any necessary documentation related to production.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and quality in the assembly department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Skills:
- Substantial previous experience in soldering and PCB assembly is required.
- High school or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes and the ability to identify and rectify defects.
- Basic experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and performing associated tasks.
- Proficient in using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting electronic components.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to move boxes up to 50lbs, stand and sit for prolonged period of time, be physically able to solder components together.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
- Excellent time management skills.
