Assignment Duration: 11+ Weeks (Possible Extension)
Schedule:

Monday & Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires strong clinical and administrative skills, excellent patient interaction, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the care team.
Responsibilities

Greet, room, and assist patients throughout their visit

Take and record vital signs accurately

Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and point-of-care (POC) testing

Administer vaccines and injections per protocol
-
Perform EKGs as required
-
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
-
Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
-
Document patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
-
Provide clinical and administrative support to providers and staff as needed
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
-
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
-
EKG and POC testing experience required
-
Front and back office experience
-
EMR proficiency and strong computer skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and patient communication skills
-
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting
Preferred Qualifications
-
Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
-
Occupational Health experience (strongly preferred)
Certifications
-
BLS or CPR certification required
