A public school in Brockton, MA, is hiring a School Counselor to support K-8th grade students during the upcoming academic year.This role is perfect for licensed professionals passionate about making a difference in a school-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite therapeutic services to a diverse PK12 caseload
- Conduct individual counseling sessions (typically 68 students per day)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to support student mental health
- Contribute to behavioral and emotional development plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or higher) in a mental health-related field (e.g., psychology, counseling, or social work)
- Massachusetts DESE license - School Adjustment Counselor license.
- Experience working with school-aged children.
- Able to pass the CORI and fingerprints.
