An elementary school in Paterson, NJ is seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher with expertise as a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to support 3rd and 4th-grade students. This contract position, aligned with the new school year, focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with individualized education programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted, differentiated instruction aligned with students' IEPs to address academic and developmental goals.
Utilize data analysis to inform instructional strategies and monitor student progress toward achieving IEP objectives.
Write prehensive, data-driven Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFPs).
Collaborate regularly with the Child Study Team, related service providers, and families to develop and support student success.
Implement evidence-based strategies that enhance language development, academic achievement, and social-emotional growth.
Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education, specifically in Learning and Language Disabilities or equivalent credentials.
Experience working with elementary-aged students who have diverse learning needs.
Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and pliance.
Proficiency in behavioral management techniques and instructional best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills for effective teamwork with multidisciplinary teams and families.
