Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a home health position covering the Berkeley, Richmond, and Oakland areas, requiring a current CA OT license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Home health setting serving patients across Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Albany, Emeryville, Piedmont, Richmond, and surrounding communities
  • Day shift position with a 26-week contract
  • Weekly productivity is tracked by a point system based on visit and evaluation types
  • Travel between patient locations within assigned territory is required
  • Use of facility-issued smartphone and standard field medical devices
  • Responsibilities include providing direct occupational therapy visits, evaluations, discharges, and completing all required documentation
  • Must be willing to cover weekends or travel outside primary territory if needed to meet visit expectations
  • Ex-employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this facility
  • First-time travelers and new graduates will be considered
  • All time off requests must be disclosed at time of application; no additional RTO will be approved after acceptance
  • Facility policies require staff to see COVID+ and PUI patients if working under non-guaranteed hours
  • Travelers are accountable for the care and return of all issued equipment

\n \n Requirements\n

  • Current and active CA Occupational Therapist license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred; new grads are welcome
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration required
  • Proof of annual TB testing, MMR, Varicella, HepB, Tdap (within past 10 years), Flu vaccine (annually), and completed drug screen and physical required
  • License required if applicable
