Make an impact in education by supporting middle school students as a 1:1 paraprofessional in a rewarding, contract-based role. You’ll provide dedicated assistance to a student throughout the school day, ensuring their individual needs are met while helping foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment. This assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 35 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- School-based experience working in a paraprofessional or similar support role
- Capable of providing effective 1:1 behavioral or academic support to middle school students
- CPR/First Aid Certification required (with CPR completed in-person)
- Up-to-date PA Clearances within the last 12 months, or willingness to obtain them quickly
- Must have reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized support to a designated middle school student throughout the school day
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing accommodations and encouraging student participation
- Promote a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and support the student’s social, emotional, and academic goals
- Collaborate with educational staff and communicate regularly regarding student progress
