We’re looking for a dedicated Construction Manager to join our growing team and help bring our communities to life.

Primary Role

  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate home construction projects from start to finish.

  • Ensure high standards for quality control, safety, scheduling, and budget performance.

  • Represent UnionMain Homes on the jobsite and ensure a positive, professional presence with all partners and customers.

Management & Supervision

  • Manage trade partners, consultants, and field employees to ensure efficient production.

  • Inspect work for quality and approve payments for completed, acceptable work.

  • Monitor contract adherence and provide input on trade partner selection.

  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance; address and document any safety violations.

Schedules & Budgets

  • Track project progress against benchmarks and timetables.

  • Ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Coordinate project starts and make real-time schedule adjustments as needed.

  • Use sound judgment to meet company goals while managing resources efficiently.

Project Management

  • Oversee the full homebuilding process from permitting to delivery and warranty.

  • Implement and enforce UnionMain’s jobsite compliance programs.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental laws, and safety standards.

  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for trade partners, customers, and inspectors.

  • Coordinate daily site logistics, material deliveries, and work sequencing.

  • Verify all work meets UnionMain’s high-quality standards before subsequent phases begin.

  • Maintain clear communication with sales, purchasing, homeowners, consultants, trades, building officials, and customer care teams.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of residential home construction.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, off-site improvement plans, and soils reports.

  • Knowledge of building codes and trade scopes of work.

  • Familiarity with BuildPro and Hyphen project management systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.

Education / Experience

  • 1–2 years of relevant construction management experience or education preferred.

  • 1 year of prior experience as a Construction Manager or Assistant Construction Manager preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50+ lbs.

  • Comfortable climbing ladders and navigating uneven terrain.

  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions (heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, etc.).
