Rich Green Lawns, LLC is looking for a motivated equipment and small engine mechanic. The mechanic is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. The mechanic will regularly work on power equipment ranging from Permagreen, to hydraulics pumping system as well as performing maintenance on our fleet of vans/trucks. Small engine mechanics determine mechanical, electrical, and fuel problems and make necessary repairs.

Duties
- Work with supervisor to discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans, and work performed throughout the day.
- Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs
- Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
- Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts.
- Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
- Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a mechanic required.
- Paid is based on experience.
- Mechanic certification preferred.
- Must have own full set of tools.
- Technician who can perform, diagnosis, and repairs of most vehicle components with little supervision required.
- Has previously worked as a C-Class general service technician.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- Physical requirements are bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time, and the ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- High School Diploma required or Two-year technician school preferred.
- A valid, clean NJ driver's license is required.
