Job DescriptionPosition: Substitute TeacherLocation: Russell, PA 16345Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to assist our partner school in educating, motivating, and inspiring students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning experiences by stepping into the classroom and providing effective instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. Your ability to engage students and maintain a productive learning environment will be essential to their academic success.Responsibilities
- Assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Focused Staffing Group policies.
- Lead classroom instruction by effectively conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans.
- Instruct students on a variety of subjects and topics, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
- Build positive relationships with students to foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Assign reasonable tasks and homework to reinforce learning objectives.
- Motivate students to learn and encourage active participation in classroom activities.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of students.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles of students.
- For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans as needed, and create, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines for education clearances.
