Job Summary The General Warehouse Clerk is responsible for moving, receiving, stocking, and shipping materials within a warehouse or storage facility. This role ensures accuracy in order fulfillment, compliance with warehouse procedures, and safe operation of material handling equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities

1. Move materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
2. Accurately pull, check, and ship product and equipment orders to customers, branches, and franchisees.
3. Perform required checks and complete paperwork for order processing and shipping.
4. Utilize company-approved computer software to complete job functions; perform manual tasks when systems are unavailable.Receive freight deliveries in the presence of delivery agents and report shortages or damages immediately.
5. Stock received shipments upon supervisor approval and ensure proper product rotation.
6. Maintain adequate stock levels in pickable product locations.
7. Obtain and maintain forklift certification; properly operate and maintain motorized warehouse equipment.
8. Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
9. Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts.
10. Comply with all shipping, warehouse regulations, and distribution center procedures.
11. Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
12. Progress from routine tasks to more complex activities with experience and knowledge development.

Required Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
3. Ability to apply basic mathematics to warehouse tasks.
4. Attention to detail in completing paperwork.
5. Ability to safely operate motorized warehouse equipment.
6. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights up to 36 feet.
7. Ability to work in environments with changing temperatures.
8. Flexibility to take on additional assignments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

1. Prior warehouse or distribution center experience.
2. Forklift certification.
