Commonwealth Electrical Technologies is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to provide support in estimating/project management and coordination of electrical construction projects. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while serving as a key liaison between project managers, field teams, clients, and vendors. The Project Coordinator will also assist in driving project efficiency and compliance.


Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all administrative and logistical aspects of electrical projects. This position includes processing change orders, tracking change order approvals, filing for electrical permits, as well as monitoring project progress, assisting with scheduling, managing documentation workflows, and supporting financial tracking. The Project Coordinator will ensure timely communication, compliance with safety and insurance requirements, and quality standards across all projects.


Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:

· Process change orders through accounting software

· Track change order approvals

· Take meeting notes and coordinate circulating them to the project team

· File for electrical permits

· Coordinate insurance requirements for projects and distribute them to GCs

· Prepare and track submittals for GC approval

· Keep organized records of projects

· Enter change orders provided by project managers into estimating software

· Serve as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams for project updates

· Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards

Requirements:

Hiring Requirement/Preferences:

· High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred

· 2–3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in electrical contracting or construction

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word specifically); experience with project management software is a plus

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and specifications is a plus

· Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety regulations is a plus

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
