Phoenix Focused Behavioral Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our onsite team in Yorktown, VA, and support individuals in reaching meaningful behavioral goals.

Position Summary

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work directly with clients to implement individualized behavior support plans under the supervision of a BCBA. This role is hands-on and collaborative, requiring patience, consistency, and strong communication to promote positive skill development and meaningful progress.

You will play a key role in collecting and documenting data, supporting therapeutic goals in daily activities, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment for clients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention strategies and skill-building programs as outlined in individualized plans.

  • Collect, record, and report behavioral data accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Support clients in daily routines using positive reinforcement and evidence-based techniques.

  • Follow supervision guidance and participate in team communication to ensure consistent services.

  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a client-first approach while supporting safety at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Behavior Technician certification

  • Experience working with individuals who have behavioral and/or developmental needs (direct care experience preferred).

  • Ability to follow structured behavior plans with consistency and professionalism.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical and support teams.

  • Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and ethical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with behavior tracking and documentation in a structured service environment.

  • Prior work in behavioral health, special education, or related support roles.

  • Familiarity with strategies that support positive behavior change and skill acquisition.

  • Comfort working onsite with clients in a variety of activities and routines.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain calm, empathy, and consistency during challenging moments.
