Big City Optical is a leading firm in the optical industry, recognized for our innovative products and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a Optometrist to join our Optometry team and support the company’s mission of providing preeminent eye care in our communities.


As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality vision care to our current and new patients. Your duties will include conducting eye examinations, prescribing corrective lenses, and determining and advising patients on their overall vision health.



Optometrist Duties and Responsibilities

Manage patient care with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment

Provide comprehensive eye care (medical and routine) to patients of all ages

Educate patients on their visual and medical conditions

Make recommendations on vision and eye health enhancing solutions

Work with a support team of professional technicians and opticians

Complete electronic health records

Work in a team based environment





Requirements:

Optometrist Requirements and Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
  • State of IL Doctor of Optometry License
  • Patient focused with a commitment to strong outcomes
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and a part of a team
  • Proficiency with electronic health records software (EHR) and optical equipment

Pay: $110,000-155,000 per year
