Director of Nursing (DON) - Skilled Nursing Facility | Calabasas, CA

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all nursing operations within the skilled nursing facility (SNF) to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
- Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in full compliance with state and federal regulations
- Lead, mentor, coach, and support nursing staff while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
- Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure strict adherence to all legal, ethical, and professional nursing standards, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Manage nursing department budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation efficiently
- Conduct regular quality assurance audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as liaison between administration, medical staff, patients, and families
- Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and California Department of Public Health standards
Required Qualifications:
- Current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 5 years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
- At least 1 year of Medicare home health leadership experience required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration a plus
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and staff development skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with all levels of staff and stakeholders
- Expert knowledge of current nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement methodologies
- Proven track record of successful survey outcomes and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and nursing documentation systems
- CPR and BLS certification required
