Precision Assembler – Medical Components & Sub-Assemblies
Full-Time | Benefits Eligible | Non-Exempt
Position Summary
Instrument Technology, Inc. is seeking both an entry level and a skilled Precision Assembler to support the assembly of medical instruments and devices used in remote imaging and visualization applications. This role works cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Operations, and the Machine Shop to ensure products are built accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with established procedures and specifications.
We are looking for someone detail-oriented, hands-on, and committed to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble medical instrument components used in diagnostic imaging and surgical applications
- Build and test products according to approved procedures and ISO 13485 requirements
- Complete required documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing prior to final Quality inspection
- Troubleshoot, verify, and repair returned products
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve product quality and reduce defects
- Maintain proper storage and identification of materials and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical school training preferred
- 2+ years of medical assembly experience preferred
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Experience soldering under a microscope
- Ability to use electronic and mechanical measurement/testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and assembly drawings
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience in ISO/GMP/FDA regulated environments
- Comfortable using microscopes and precision assembly tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
