Location: Kerrville, TX
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00/hour weekly pay (based on licensure, certification, and experience)
Shifts Available:

• 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

• 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview:

Seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide care in a secure, specialized setting for individuals with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral needs. This position involves both routine and advanced vocational nursing tasks to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and perform technical nursing procedures

• Collect lab specimens and conduct health screenings

• Monitor and document patient health and behavioral status

• Assist with training and instruction of direct care staff and newly hired LVNs

• Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and support treatment planning

• Follow established protocols, facility procedures, and applicable regulations

• Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, HIPAA, and infection control standards

Requirements:

• Active LVN license in Texas or a compact state

• Valid photo ID and current AHA CPR certification

• Minimum 1 year of direct care experience preferred

• 1+ year psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred

Additional Information:

• Training: Four weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Duration: Minimum 6-month commitment with possibility to extend 1-5 years

• Start Dates: 1st and 16th of each month, now through August 31, 2025

• Time Off: Requests for more than 3 days before January 5, 2026, must be discussed during interview
