Job Title: Radiology / Cardiology / Radiation Therapist

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join a Radiation Oncology team in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering radiation treatments, ensuring patient safety, and working collaboratively with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to provide high-quality cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning systems.
• Verify treatment parameters and patient positioning prior to treatment delivery.
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to patient needs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate treatment documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary oncology teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and departmental quality assurance standards.
• Educate patients regarding treatment procedures and expectations.
• Participate in equipment quality control and routine operational checks.

Requirements

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Radiation Therapy License required.
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• BLS Certification required.

Experience

• Recent Radiation Oncology experience required.
• Experience with TrueBeam treatment systems required.
• Experience with Aria oncology information system required.
• Experience with Identify patient positioning and tracking systems required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and oncology patient care.
• Ability to maintain precision and accuracy in treatment delivery.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
