About the Role:

As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop, delivering exceptional beverage and food experiences to every guest. Your role is to expertly prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and light food items while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. You will engage with customers to understand their preferences and provide personalized service that encourages repeat visits. The position requires balancing speed and quality, ensuring that each order meets our high standards while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ultimately, your contribution will enhance customer satisfaction and support the overall success of our establishment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food preparation role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a barista or in a coffee shop environment.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment maintenance.
  • Basic food safety certification.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative approach to customizing beverages and enhancing guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent guest service.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation and service stations.
  • Handle cash register transactions accurately and manage orders efficiently during busy periods.
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
