Job Description

The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle at Park & Eleazer Construction. This position will coordinate core HR responsibilities while helping foster a positive, organized, and people-first culture.

This role supports onboarding, recruiting, employee records management, employee experience, and culture reinforcement for both office and field employees. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding for new office and field team members
  • Support offboarding processes with professionalism and accuracy
  • Assist with employee recognition efforts, internal communication, and create/execution of culture calendar/team events
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions/concerns
  • Help reinforce a respectful, safety-first, and team-oriented culture

Recruiting & Hiring Support

  • Post job openings and assist with applicant tracking
  • Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruiting process, 30-, 60-and 90-day new hire check ins
  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate career fair attendance and brand presence

People Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR systems
  • Ensure completion and compliance of required employment documentation
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and HR administrative tasks
  • Establish mechanisms to reinforce and schedule frequent performance and coaching discussions and goal-progress reviews
  • Coordinate and track training, education, and certifications as needed for various roles
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience

Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and office leadership to support workforce needs
  • Assist with special projects related to people operations and company growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR, recruiting, administration, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • SHRM or HRCI certification a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Comfortable interacting with both field crews and office staff
