A growing private investment and management firm is seeking a Junior Private Equity Analyst to join its Newport Beach headquarters.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious early-career professional who is passionate about private equity, acquisitions, corporate finance, and business strategy. You'll work directly with senior leadership and gain hands-on experience evaluating acquisition opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting strategic initiatives across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify acquisition opportunities that align with investment objectives
- Conduct market and industry research
- Perform company and financial analysis
- Build relationships with business owners, brokers, and referral partners
- Support outbound business development and acquisition sourcing efforts
- Assist with due diligence and investment research
- Prepare executive presentations, reports, and market summaries
- Utilize AI tools to improve research and workflow efficiency
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects across portfolio companies
- Collaborate directly with executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years of professional experience or strong internship experience
- Interest in private equity, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, or investment analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
