Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available within a K-12 educational setting located in Edison, NJ. This contract position spans the current school year, from ASAP through June 6th, 2026, serving elementary and middle school students across three campuses. The role requires dedication to supporting students developmental and functional needs throughout the school day, with a commitment of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for K-8 students to enhance their participation in school activities.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
  • Monitor and document student progress in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding accommodations and adaptive strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials and experience in school-based therapy services.
  • Familiarity with K-12 educational settings, especially elementary and middle school environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple campuses efficiently.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations related to occupational therapy in schools.

Location: Edison, New Jersey
Duration: Contract through June 6th, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 30 hours per week, across three campuses
