Magnum Piering in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking to hire a full-time Customer Service Shipping Clerk. This position is responsible for all aspects of logistics including customer service, rate negotiations, scheduling of outgoing freight, etc. This position is out of our West Chester, Ohio location. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing both internal and external relationships. Be able to demonstrate the capability to work autonomously, possess great attention to detail, organizational skills, and handling multiple deadlines and initiatives concurrently.

Job Description
- Conduct rate negotiations and schedule outgoing freight.
- Responsible for shipping documents and other records to determine shipping priorities and methods.
- Verify customer and shipment information for accuracy ensuring all details are included for efficient and timely processing.
- Proactively communicate and report any issues to the Dock Manager.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies in a timely and constructive manner to minimize delays.
- Maintain communication with sales to ensure orders are on time and customer's expectations are met.
- Communicate with carriers in a professional manner, developing strong relationships.
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers and vendors.
- Assists with other related clerical duties such as data entry, photocopying, filing, and collating.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualification Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or shipping.
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service
- Must be able to work with others well in resolving issues, gathering information, and explaining resolutions, processes, and procedures to others.
- Exercise excellent judgement and maintains a positive perspective.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires frequently standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must be able to have use of hands, fingers in order use keyboard, touch controls and objects. Vision abilities to do this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk/hear and communicate in person or on the phone.
